Burns + Beyerl Architects, Inc, begin construction on 2 new single family homes in Chicago on the same day.

Chicago, IL – March 17, 2003 -

Burns + Beyerl Architects (BBA), began construction on two new single family homes on the same day. Ground was broken on the first home which is sited on a 60’ x 80’ parcel. The building will be a traditional Chicago house with a pair of gables flanking the front entrance. The central hall will terminate in a 3 story round staircase topped with a domed ceiling and second story windows flooding the entrance with light. Construction is anticipated to take approximately 9 months for each home.

The second home construction began with the demolition of the existing structure on the site. The double wide corner lot provided a wonderful opportunity to create a bright and spacious home. The site also permitted an entry on the long side of the parcel which resulted in a floor plan without corridors or circulation through rooms. The exterior will feature bands of limestone, brick lead coated copper panels and cornice line.
