Associate

Born and raised in the Caribbean Jean-Marie discovered quickly that he had a aptitude for drawing and sketching and on more than one occasion this was the catalyst for his parents to repaint the house. With encouragement and support from his parents Jean-Marie was able to further develop his creative and artistic talent and decided to begin his discourse in Architecture + Design. After graduating with a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan in 2004, Jean-Marie worked with a larger firm in Southeast Michigan where he gained some valuable experience. After a great weeklong trip to Chicago, he decided it was time to change things a little and opted to explore opportunities available in the Chicago area.

After interviewing, BBA was impressed with his wonderful artistic abilities coupled with his drive and determination to refine his skills as an architect; Jean-Marie was asked to join BBA in the fall of 2007. Having recently completed his IDP requirements Jean-Marie is looking forward to taking the ARE and soon becoming a licensed Architect.

In his spare time Jean-Marie enjoys the great company of his family and friends, while sharing a great meal and a bottle of wine or an occasional 'cuba libre' to make him feel like he's back home on the islands on the warm Caribbean beaches. He can also be found enthusiastically walking through the many museums/ galleries in the city and immersing himself with the new experiences the city has to offer.
