Associate

Jaclyn, originally from Lexington, Kentucky, moved around the South and Midwest with her family to Arkansas, Georgia, Missouri and North Carolina growing up. She returned to Lexington to attend the University of Kentucky College of Design where she earned her 5-year Bachelor's of Architecture in May 2006. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and awarded the John Ray Memorial Graduating Senior Prize for Excellence in Architectural Design and Research. Jaclyn traveled to Spain, the Netherlands and spent a semester in Venice, Italy as a student. During her semester abroad, she enjoyed exploring the regions of Tuscany, Umbria and the Veneto, appreciating the Italian Renaissance architecture, culture, landscape and wine.

Jaclyn's intern experience came from a summer with Polifilo, Inc. in Nashville, TN on commercial projects and Tate Hill Jacobs Architects in Lexington upon graduation where she worked closely on several public school projects. Jaclyn moved to Chicago in September 2006 and began working for A. Epstein and Sons International as member of a Chicago high-rise condo-hotel design team. Jaclyn joined Burns + Beyerl Architects in September 2007.

Along with three other Chicago architects, Jaclyn began organizing a Chicago Architecture For Humanity chapter in January. The organization hopes to begin community projects and fundraisers in the fall. She spends her free time volunteering in a local nursing home and woman's shelter. Her interests also include traveling, Kentucky basketball, snow skiing and discovering new things in the city.
