Associate
Kristin
joined Burns +
Beyerl Architects
in April 2005 as an intern architect. Her responsibilities
are constantly evolving as she learns new skills from her
seasoned colleagues.
At
a young age Kristin's
parents pursued a lifelong
dream to move to the
Caribbean and live on a sailboat. For several years Kristin
and her family traveled
the Eastern Caribbean,
South America, and
up the East Coast
of the United States.
After
returning to the
United States, Kristin
pursued her interest
in art and was accepted
into the visual arts program at the Perpich Center for Arts Education
(PCAE). There she studied the fine arts as well as graphic design
and multi-media.
After
graduating from PCAE,
Kristin attended the
University of Minnesota
where she studied architecture,
animation, and video
art. In December 2003,
Kristin graduated with
a double major in art
and architecture. While
at the U of MN Kristin
co-founded the Students
for New Urbanism (SNU)
- a forum that encourages
students and professionals
to meet and discuss
the importance of community
development and urban
planning.
Outside the office, Kristin enjoys exploring the city, watching films, traveling, painting, animation, and working on her Edgewater condo.
