Jennifer Hense, AIA
Principal

Jen joined Burns + Beyerl Architects in June, 1999 and was named Principal in 2015. She leads the design of custom residential projects and contributes to general office management. She is excited to join Gary and Ed in partnership as we forge the next chapter of BBA.

She received a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Historic Preservation from Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning in 1999. While at CAP, Jen had the opportunity to study abroad through travel in Europe, Africa and Asia. Her travels overseas and throughout the states have honed her strong interest in design.

Jen met her husband, also an architect, at school. They have 2 children, Courtney and Benjamin. They recently moved to Downers Grove and purchased a charming vintage home that they plan to renovate in the coming years. They look forward to using their design skills to create a home for their family.

Raised in Granger, Indiana, she is near her family who always encouraged her fascination with architecture and design. Whether she was designing her newest Lego village or touring historic homes and towns on vacation, residential design was a natural choice. Jen’s passion is to help turn her clients thoughts and ideas into their dream home.
