Kristin joined Burns + Beyerl Architects in 2005. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Studio Arts from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 2003. Kristin began as an intern and quickly grew into the role of Project Manager. She has worked on a large range of custom residential projects, developing her design, technical and project management skills. She maintains the materials library, ensuring the office has the most updated information of the latest and greatest products on the market.
Raised in Minnesota, Kristin always had an interest in home design and remodeling, watching “This Old House” with her Dad and helping him on home construction projects. Her creativity was fostered by attendance at the Perpich Center for Arts Education in the Visual Arts Program. Once at the University, she discovered Architecture, bringing her two passions together. Kristin enjoys turning a design challenge into a creative solution that is not only functional but also beautiful and sustainable. The difference is in details.
Kristin and her husband reside in the Edgewater Beach neighborhood of Chicago and own property in Bucktown and Logan Square. When she is not obsessing over design, Kristin enjoys all weather biking, traveling to as many faraway locations as possible, art collecting and eating delicious food.
